For aspiring authors, seasoned journalists, and casual journalers alike, the single greatest hurdle in the writing process is almost never the middle, nor the end. ​It is the beginning. ​Yet, pushing past that initial hesitation unlocks a profound shift. The act of starting to write carries a unique goodness—a mix of psychological relief, creative momentum, and cognitive clarity. ​1. Silencing the Internal Critic ​Before you write your first word, your mind operates in the realm of theory. Ideas seem magnificent, fragile, or impossibly complex. The internal critic whispers that your vocabulary isn't sharp enough, your argument isn't original enough, or your story isn't interesting enough. ​When you begin, you force those thoughts to materialize. Before we became partners, we were each walking our own path. Joy joined Holy Souls City seeking growth, understanding, and healing. Through commitment, reflection, and transformation, she gradually became the person she is today. At the same time, my journey was centered on purpose—building Holy Souls City, GoforusNet, learning through experience, and serving others. Marriage was not something I was actively pursuing. Only later did our paths cross. Looking back, we recognized meaningful patterns that became part of our own understanding. Joy's Life Path is 5, and mine is also 5. Together they symbolically form 10, representing a new beginning within our numerology framework. Holy Souls City also carries a symbolic frequency we associate with 5, and even the name JOYZECK reflects that same pattern. For us, these recurring themes became part of how we understood our journey. Our relationship grew from a shared sense of purpose before it became a romantic relationship. Throughout this journey, dreams, reflections, conversations, and meaningful experiences became part of our story. Joyce had dreams. I had dreams. Members of the Holy Souls City community also shared dreams and experiences that became part of our collective reflection. This story is not shared so people begin predicting who they should marry, chasing others because of dreams, repeating numbers, zodiac signs, appearance, wealth, titles, or social status. That is not our message. Our invitation is to first focus on your own healing, awareness, character, growth, and contribution to humanity. Purpose cannot be forced. Meaningful relationships cannot be manufactured by desire alone. Within our understanding, the strongest relationships grow when two people have each committed themselves to becoming the best version of who they are called to be. Our story is not another Romeo and Juliet. It is an exploration of how purpose, transformation, and love can meet. Whether you interpret our journey as we do or in your own way, we hope it inspires you to live more intentionally, love more deeply, grow continuously, and serve others with wisdom and compassion. If love comes, let it strengthen your purpose. If purpose comes first, let it shape the person you become.
